| Interpretive Centre | The Historic town of Penola was founded in 1850 by Alexander
Cameron and features many buildings dating back to the last century. John Riddoch Interpretive Centre - located in Arthur Street in the old Mechanics Institute Building which was built in 1869. Displays feature Penola history from the days of the aborigines to the present day. |

| The Centre also houses the Penola Hydrocarbon Centre opened
in November 1998 and the Tourist Information Centre which is situated near the front
