William Henry Ogilvie
1869-1963

Born in South Eastern Scotland August 21st 1869, Ogilvie came to Australia in 1889.  He was very impressed with Adam Lindsay Gordon and his Australian ballads.

In 1893, he was overseer at Maaoupe Station, and this period influenced his writings for the rest of his life.

He contributed poems to the "Border Watch" using his pseudonym "Glenrowan".  Some of those printed :-
